Center Fire Rifle Programs!
CMP/NRA High Power Rifle Programs Starting Soon!
Palmyra's first ever high power rifle program will be starting
in April. Please note the following change in dates: Saturday
April 10 will be the clinic portion of our program. The first
match has been moved to the following Saturday, April 17 to eliminate
conflict with Easter. Other match dates are as follows- May 8,
June 12, July 10, August 21, September 11, October 2 (Club Championship
Match). All shoots will be held on the 100 yard rifle range.
On those days, the range will be closed from 7:30 am until match
completion at approximately 12:30 pm. Some days could run longer
due to high participation or weather delays. Military style rifles
are the most popular including AR15, M1 Garand, M1A, 1903 and
a host of others. These shoots are for open "iron" sighted
rifles only.
Clinic will cover the fundamentals of NRA high power rifle competition
and will be taught by High Master Classified, Distinguished Riflemen.
Topics include course of fire, equipment, rifle types, reloading
for competition, building a natural point of aim, etc. PARTICIPATION IN CLINICS AND MATCHES QUALIFIES
PARTICIPANTS TO PURCHASE RIFLES DIRECTLY FROM THE CIVILIAN MARKSMANSHIP
PROGRAM! Currently M1 Garands and 1903/03A3 and some .22's match
rifles are available. For more information on the clinic or matches
